We are hopefully soon to get our first ever dog – a Golden Retriever puppy and I was just looking for suggestions/reccomendations for a good puppy training book.

Just to add that we’re planning on training courses as well, but I’m about to order a couple of books and as their seem to be hundreds thought I’d ask for a few reccomendations to help me choose.

When I was younger, I had this Labrador cross Golden Retriever puppy who had normal floppy ears. But within a few weeks its ears began to lift up (not all the way so that they were pointed like a German Shepard’s). They were up with the ends still floppy. They continued to change shape into variations of the lifted ear. They never returned to normal when we gave him to Guidedogs about a year later.

Does anyone know why his ears were like this?

i know lab pups are cute, but i think they should use a golden retriever puppy in the andrex adverts. i actually think they would look alot cuter. what do you think

We have already bought a golden retriever puppy, met up with the parents and everything and its fine and we are very excited. However, it is our first dog as a family so we are wondering what would we need previous to it coming home?

My golden retriever puppy is 5 months old and recently did a 5km walk but seemed to not be tired, so how long shall i walk her for? i don`t want to over exercise her and damage joints but she is a very active dog and seems to want to burn of energy. There is a 15km walk coming up in town which i would like to take her along to but is it safe?

We are looking for a Golden Retriever puppy.

Although we have budgeted £500 – £600 we have also seen some advertised locally for £250.

These local pups don’t have all the paperwork that you would get from a professional breeder, but can be seen with their mum (who is a family pet).

So, as we are looking for a family pet (which will also be our first dog) would one of these pups be suitable, or would we be more sensible to travel further and buy a more expensive one from a breeder?

I have a 10 week old Golden Retriever puppy who will be allowed out in 3 weeks once she has her final jabs.

Could anyone tell me how long/far we should be walking her when she is 13 weeks old? And at what age do we increase the length/distance etc?

Hey everyone! Erm I was just wondering, are golden retrievers good pets? Can they still be trainable at 10 weeks? Will they go in their crate or will they keep barking? And also could someone send me a picture of a ten week old golden retriever puppy? I want to know how cute they are!

My Golden Retriever Puppy is eight weeks old and creme colored. Very light blond.

I was looking on Livedeal .com for Golden Retriever puppy in my area, unfortunatley I did’nt find any. I found some that were’nt close to me, they were about like 0- 0. Are these average prices for a golden? I wanna know if I would be getting ripped off if I bought one of these puppies. Also, I would have to get it shipped. Is it safe to ship a puppy? I’ve never done it before. Should I get one shipped? Tell me about your past experiences with shipping puppies, have you had any?
