just me playing with my dog on a beautiful polish day at the Solina lake
In nature, when an animal is able to pick up a familar scent (HOME), for some strange reason it is able to find its way home? What is the range of efficiency in miles? I have set up a peremiter in the woods with toys and strips of cloth with sweat, dog hair to try to keep her from running astray and avoiding a possible car hit. For those that hunt wild game, you know what I am saying. I lost my blond golden retriever (DAISY), I set up a scent perimeter to show her Im looking for her and stay in the area. Ive been searching 3 times a day. I set up a perimeter today. Please be down to earth with your answer. Im a devasted father without my "little girl". people have seen her and I know shes trying to come home. I want her to know Im looking for her and to stay in the general area. I will go to this perimeter 3 times a day. ANY suggestions?
I have been to all shelters, ad in newspaper, petline.org, L.I. GOLDEN RETRIEVER RESUE! I belive she was taken in and broke lose. I lost both dogs at the same time. Neighbor puts up a PVC fence and there was a good 18 inch space for the dogs to get out>
Geese migrate from point a to point b.
Salmon amazingly migrate to breed and die to feed there young.
Monarch butterflys migrate thousands of miles.
I believe I will find her if she knows for sure that Im looking. Her Toys, biscuts, I had alot of applause, to think with focus and Daisy will pint point that perimeter like an extraction point. Sign language works!
Today (fathers day) she has been gone 2 weeks, eating out of dumsters and garbage cans.

The family I work for (as a live-in nanny) as this adorable golden retriever. She was trained as a hunting dog and is very well behaved. I’m not sure her age. Anyway, I have an approx. 1 year old Bengal cat. I know she likes dogs, because her foster mother said, AND all the dogs we’ve seen while walking, she’s been fine with, and even tried to run over to a chihuahua that looked ready to bite her, trying to play with it. But Sybil doesn’t like the family dog.
How can I help them to get along?
Asked this yesterday, but didn’t get much answers + have new breeders
Gosh, once again I’m stuck..so please bear with me…

GOLDEN RETRIEVER PUPS AKC OFA, CERF heart cert. Light medium. Show look. Extra mild temp. 0.
I have 25 years experience raising pups for beauty, health and an extra mild temperament for excellent family pets. Both parents have a very mild temperament and have been tested for genetic problems common to golden retrievers. We have not had any health problems in our lines including early cancer, epilepsy, heart murmers, allergies, eye problems, hip problems or any other genetic issues. The grandfather was a wonderful dog who lived in great health until the age of 15. These dogs have nice blocky heads and full coats. They are very beautiful dogs and their offspring are also beautiful. They have been vet checked, wormed and 1st shots. All pups come with full AKC registration.

These puppies were born on July 1, 2010 and come from top quality golden retrievers.
The dam (Elle) has a great disposition and loves people and other dogs. She earned a Junior Hunter Title with 4 straight passes. She is a great pheasant hunter and will point birds. She is darker red in color and weighs about 60 lbs.
The sire (Diesel) has one of the best field bred golden pedigrees you will find. His father is TNT’s Explosion and his uncle is Stanley Steamer. Diesel is extremely athletic and loves to retrieve. He has a great disposition and loves everybody. Diesel has earned derby points and is currently working on becoming all-age qualified. He weighs about 65 lbs.
The puppies get socialized every day and we introduce them to many different things as they get older. Before going to their new homes they will be vet checked, have first set of vaccinations and been dewormed.
The puppies are 0. A 0 deposit will reserve a puppy for you.
Thank you

Annie
Annie has a nice, broad head, muscular build, and a beautiful rust color wavy coat. Annie weighs 65 pounds. She is calm in the house but has energy outdoors. She notifies us when visitors arrive, and she has a golden temperament that loves to please. Her hips are certified with an OFA EXCELLENT. Her background is hunting, but loves SKIJORING. She has never had any health issues or allergies.
Auto
Auto is a beautiful, cream colored golden, with a very kind temperament. His impressive pedigree includes European, Canadian and American Champions. Auto has never had a health issue or any sign of allergies. Auto is a joy to be around in every way.
The puppies are four weeks old. Annie and the puppies are doing wonderful. We had three little girls and two little boys. This is Annie’s first litter of puppies with Auto. Annie had nine puppies from her last litter so we have nine happy referrals for you to check with, if you please. We love the temperament and the intelligence that she is producing! Dew claws have been removed and preventive worming done. Socializing started! Annies previous litter was featured in the movie Puppies Do The Darnest Things.
**Also, what’s a reasonable price for a Golden Retriever pup?
Thanks!
Oh frazzle razzle, called the Breeder #2, parents are not on site, only one male, so no choice or littermates.
Never mind!!
Thanks though for the insight UHave2BeKiddingme
My husband is in the market for a puppy here in St. Cloud, MN. He doesn’t want a lab of any kind, nor does he really want a golden retriever because of the shedding. Can anyone tell me their experiences with different breeds of water/hunting dogs? Every breed he keeps turning down! I need some help here.
do not say black lab or golden retriever. I do not like them. Thanks
My golden retriever won’t fetch so i figure he needs a good activity. Are golden retrievers good tracking dogs, i don’t need him to go find my deer just I shot or anything. I just want him to be able to find things like toys i hide in the woods. I’ve seen on the internet the best dogs for that are bloodhounds, german shepherds, collies etc. But i haven’t seen golden retriever. I have a Golden Ret., a husky and a mutt. I’m pretty sure its the G.R. because they are hunting dogs and huskies are meant to pull sleds but which one has the most potential for tracking and how would i train him to do it?

Vinny knows that when I say the word “NOW” that we are going to do something fun whether it’s going for a ride, playing ball, or going to the park. Today’s “NOW” meant going in the pool for an afternoon swim on this 90 degree day. I have to especially clean the pool out with all of the clumps of hair. But he likes it and that’s all that matters!
Golden Retriever Now 1 month with the family. Latest video of tricks she has learnt in a summary. sit, stay, shakes hand, high-five, spin and JUMP!
I am looking into getting a new puppy to train to go hunting with me to go get the ducks I kill and wondered which I should get, a chocolate lab or a golden retriever? Which is more loyal and easily trained?
