Hello YahooAnswers! Alrighty. So I previously posted a photo of my dog, Cosmo. I was told she was a Golden Retriever Black Lab mix. You can tell she has these breeds in her, due to her coloring and her coat. She does look like she has shepherd in her due to her markings, but now her markings are fading. She is turning all brown. Chocolately. So I don’t think she does have shepherd in her now. She is losing the Shepherd look. Her fur is getting long, and becoming wavy. When I bath her, her fur curls almost. She has the webbed toes as well.

She has a white patch on her chest, and her hair is almost wirey feeling there. 2 of her paws have a tiny bit of white on the tip.

I have some photos of her if you want to take a look at her. I would like to know what YOU think she might be :)

Cosmo is on the RIGHT in this picture… she’s not the Jack lol. Note her white chest in this pic

When she was little… she had markings that look a ton like a Shepherd. Sable. But now, as I previously said, they are fading. The black is disappearing. That’s why I don’t think she is Shepherd, or that characteristic would of stayed, because it would of been dominant. I think anyways.

So please, tell me your opinions! Nothing rude! I’m just curious as to what she is.
I apologize if the photos aren’t very clear, or you can’t see Cosmo very well in them!

Health problems with Golden Retriever.?

So I have a 3 year old golden who about a year ago started having problems. He had on and off diarrhea for the longest time. I took him to the vet and I had every test under the sun done. He had blood work, X-rays, everything. Nothing showed up.

So we switched him over to Medi- Cal Gastro formula. It helped a little but he still gets diarrhea the odd time.

Now he is starting to lose his fur. He used to be on a home made food formula for dogs, and his coat was absolutely gorgeous! Now I understand it not looking so great with this vet food, but its actually falling out. He is literally starting to get bald spots.

I am getting worried and any help at all would be greatly appreciated! I am talking to the vets but more input owuld help!

Thanks in advance!
Could it be the stress? We have been fostering golden retrivers for a while now. Could that be it? He does very much enjoy the company, so could it be the fact that he gets attached to them then they leave? I dunno?

Golden retriever advice?

my golden is only a little puppy right now but he already sheds a lot and stinks even with a bath every month. I wanted to know how can i control the shedding, i took a good look at my carpet this morning and i could see all the fur the vaccum couldnt get so far we’re brushing him 1-2 times daily outside. Also what are the two seasons that goldens shed the most. What can we do to minimize shedding

Also in general what things can we do to get rid of that "dog smell" frm the house. Our house doesnt have any windows that open, so keeping the door open is our best way for fresh air ( and the central fan that cirrculates air) what products to you use in your house to eliminate the odour?

thanks in advance
