Fathom the Golden Retriever (my best buddy) and I did some Dog Agility Jumping and Fun Tricks yesterday. He did really good on the jumping and I think he’s almost ready for his first Agility Competition! I am so proud of Fathom. He can jump really high and good! Fathom also did good on the tricks. He knows A LOT more than this but we didn’t have a lot of time to film the tricks and we did a lot of agility videos. Fathom is a very good boy and I am so proud of everything he’s done in the last 5 monthes of training!
I am a 23 year-old full time teacher with a 9 month old desexed male golden retriever. I would like to get a second dog soon but can’t decide which breed. I love goldens but I HATE the long hair and don’t know if I could handle even more blonde hair on my carpets! I am commited to obedience training a second dog and exercising for at least 1/2 an hour every night with them. I would also like to get involved in agility or flyball in the future. There may also be children in my life sometime in the next 5-10 years so a dog that is accepting of this is a must. Which breed would suit my current situation best? Thanks so much for any advice or suggestions you can give me.
I have an unregistered golden retriever, and when he’s a little older, I’d like to start training him for agility. Will he be able to enter competitions with out papers? I’m planning on neutering him, will this affect anything?
hello, I own a 3 y/o female golden retriever. I was wondering if she would be able to pick it up easily and make it fun or would it be hard to teach her. She is very active and is just earning her Canine Good Citizen title in a couple weeks. Does anyone have any experience with agility? is it fun for dog and handler?
I decided to sign my incredibly hyper golden retriever up for agility. Is there a really good place you would recommend? Any tips? Anything I should know before starting?
I have a 3 month golden, and I want to do agility with him when he’s older. I have jumps, weaves, and a tunnel in my yard, along with materials to make other things later on, and while I don’t want to damage his joints over jumps, I would like to get a head start. So, what obstacles are okay to train him on when he’s still under a year?
if i bred my golden retriever, named buddy to a female short-haired St.bernard would the puppy look more like the mom or dad. please post up a picture if you can and i only want photos and info on how if i do breed my dog with a saint how to get the saint face color and size, but the goldens agility , softmouth and love of water.

i decided to breed my dog with another golden and thats all
The 2009 Green Mountain Golden Retriever Club AKC agility trial. Murphy came out of semi-retirement to play in Novice Preferred – he seems to like an easier game and a lower jump height. Murphy finished his NAP this weekend with three first placements and three high scoring golden retriever awards. Teller had some awesome moments (particularly on the Sunday Excellent JWW course which I didn’t get on video) and some disconnected moments. Overall it was a good weekend and we’ll enjoy a couple of weekends off in August. Check out our updates on our blog: blog.magicagoldens.com
Teller’s last trial of the season. I love how he’s running right now – he’s fast and responsive. Contacts are still an issue and I need to communicate better (though I think the 12 hour long trial days didn’t help my foggy brain) – he is confident and enthusiastic – everything else will come together in the next year. He picked up two FAST legs and an OA leg this weekend. Check out our updates on our blog: blog.magicagoldens.com
