hello, I own a 3 y/o female golden retriever. I was wondering if she would be able to pick it up easily and make it fun or would it be hard to teach her. She is very active and is just earning her Canine Good Citizen title in a couple weeks. Does anyone have any experience with agility? is it fun for dog and handler?
My dog is the one pouncing Darby, the light-colored girl puppy. Down, boy!
Fuzzy golden balls of cuteness! Golden Retriever puppies are one of the most popular dog breeds, and rightly so. Today is dedicated to this awesome breed of dog. My family pet golden retriever of 6 years has very bad breath.
We’ve tried tablets & that but nothing seems to work.
We clean his teeth but nothing seems to work.

Today, Fathom, my faithful big buddy and I, entered in the Fun Match! We did Junior Handler one, and it was a bit like “Best in Show” but not quite. Fathom did good for his very first time EVER at a real competition. Hip, hip, hooray for the Fathom-Boy! Also, most of his pals from Agility Dog School were there. FUN!!! Fathom and all his buddies did a good job! Fathom also met some other new dogs. COOL!!! Fathom and I both had fun at the “Fun Match”…we will never forget it!!!
Cleaning the house is always such a chore, but Golden Retriever Grace does her part!
Sorry but I put this in the ‘birds’ section first by accident:
We have a 4 yr old Golden Retriever male. I am never sure of the quantities to feed him. He is only given cooked meals, i.e. mince/beef/chicken and veg plus bones – marrow, chicken necks, etc. I don’t know whether the evening meal should be one cup or two, etc? He is starting to get a little overweight. Was told never to feed processed dog foods, including kibble. Thanks for any help

Initially I wanted to film our Indian Runner Ducks, but then I noticed our dogs playing in the background and decided to keep the cam on them instead. So you can see dogs and ducks together in harmony in this clip, note how the ducks are not bothered at all by the playing dogs;-) First you can see 2 ducks performing their “dance” (swimming in circles and nodding their heads like mad) to display their readiness to mate, then the drake mounts the duck and get´sa grip on her head, temporarilly pushing the duck´s head under water, and twisting their tails to perform the copulation. After the “act” the ducks part to display typical “after-sex-bahaviour”: the female duck shakes and flaps her wings and wiggles her tail, the male duck runs in circles (a bit) and wiggles his tail to get his penis back into his body (the rather long duck-sex-organ hangs out touching the ground after the mating and has to be drawn in again) and also flaps his wings. Then you can see another drake unsuccessfully trying to rape a duck, she runs very fast with the male duck “hanging” on her neck when some other drakes join to settle the disput rather vocally;-) While filming duck behaviour our dogs enter the scene and start to play “bite-games” by harmlessly biting and tugging each other´s ears and paws. The dogs stand up on their hind legs to do some “dog-wrestling” including turning each other over and such. Finally I joined their tug-of-war game when they ran me over to end the clip just when I …
